Throughout the months of the Summer 2024 season, the staff and youth at Ground Zero attended as many cultural activities as they possibly could. This included, but was not limited to the Pow Wows hosted in Sweetgrass First Nation, Mistawasis, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and Mosquito First Nation and many more. The youth at Ground Zero that attended all of the Pow Wow’s were dedicated and always eager to dress up and show their pride for their culture as it is something they are very proud to be a part of. Many of the staff also had a wonderful time experiencing First Nation’s culture and watching several performances. Thankfully, on all of these days the weather was hot and the youth were able to enjoy many different treats including Slurpees, lemonade, poutines, pizza and several other cold treats to cool them off in the sunshine.
